Once upon a time, in a bustling town, lived a mouse named Town Mouse. He was always surrounded by exciting sights and delicious foods but often found himself feeling bored. One day, he decided to pack his tiny bag with some cheese and set off to visit his friend, Country Mouse.
Country Mouse lived in a serene countryside, where life was simpler and quieter. He and his kind wife were overjoyed to see Town Mouse. They welcomed him with a warm embrace and offered him a feast of country delicacies.
However, Town Mouse was not impressed with the plain country food. He missed the lavish meals of the town. Despite this, Country Mouse took him on a tour to introduce him to the beautiful countryside and its friendly inhabitants – the talking trees, cheerful flowers, a playful hedgehog, a wise squirrel, and a tiny worm. They all greeted Town Mouse with kindness, but he couldn’t help expressing his boredom and longing for the town’s excitement.
Town Mouse boasted about the town’s splendors, convincing Country Mouse to return with him to experience the city life. Saying goodbye to his wife, Country Mouse set off for an adventure.

In the town, Country Mouse was amazed by the grand buildings and the bustling life. They visited Town Mouse’s house, where a family had just finished a lavish dinner. There were plenty of leftovers, and the two mice feasted. But soon, their joy turned to fear when a cat discovered them. They narrowly escaped to their mouse hole.

Thinking the cat had gone, they ventured out again, only to be chased by a dog. Terrified, Country Mouse decided that the town’s dangers were not for him. He preferred his quiet, safe life in the country.
And so, the two friends parted ways, learning an important lesson: It’s better to have a simple, safe life than to live in constant danger, no matter how exciting it may seem.
