In a cozy nursery with a big clock in the middle, a little mouse looked up at the clock, curious and amazed.
“Wow, how did the mouse in the rhyme climb up and then get down safely?” wondered the Mouse aloud.
Just then, the Clock spoke, “Hello there, little Mouse! What are you thinking about?”
“I’m just amazed by how the mouse in the story went up and down you,” Mouse replied.
“Well, it’s quite a tale,” said Clock. “Every time I tick, the mouse had to jump off quickly to avoid getting hit by my tock.”
“That sounds hard, but I want to try!” Mouse declared bravely.
“Be careful, it’s not as easy as it looks,” Clock warned.
But Mouse was determined and began to climb. Soon, a Cat wandered in, curious to see Mouse climbing. Then, a Nurse came in and saw Mouse up high.
“Mouse, come down! It’s too dangerous!” Nurse called out.
But Mouse was already at the top, cheering, “I made it!”
Just then, Clock went “tock,” and Mouse, startled, fell right into Cat’s paws.
“Got you!” Cat said, catching Mouse gently.
“Oh, thank you. I’m safe,” sighed Mouse, relieved.
Mouse learned a valuable lesson that day. “Even if something looks fun, it might not be safe. I’ll think twice before climbing again,” Mouse said, looking at the Clock and then at his new friends, Cat and Nurse.
