The Story of Humpty Dumpty

In the village, Humpty Dumpty and his friends, Sunny, Shellby, and Yolko, were playing outside. Their ball flew over a tall wall.

“Oh no! Our ball!” exclaimed Sunny.

“We must retrieve it,” Shellby declared.

They all turned to Humpty Dumpty. “You’re our bravest, Humpty. You should go,” Yolko suggested.

“Why me?” Humpty hesitated, feeling unsure.

“Because you’re fearless! Don’t be a scaredy-egg,” encouraged Sunny.

Taking a deep breath, Humpty agreed, “Okay, for you guys, I’ll do it.”

Climbing the wall, fear gripped Humpty. “I can’t do this. I’m stuck!” he admitted, scared.

General Braveheart was passing by and noticed. “What’s the trouble here?” he inquired.

“I tried retrieving our ball, but now I’m too frightened to move,” Humpty explained.

“I’ll help you down,” General Braveheart promised. But before he could act, Humpty lost his balance and fell.

“Ouch! I’m in pieces!” Humpty cried out.

“Don’t worry, I’ll call for backup,” assured General Braveheart, calling the King’s men.

Sir Fixalot, Knight Mendmore, and Lord Patchup arrived swiftly. “Oh dear, this looks serious,” Sir Fixalot observed.

“I doubt we can fix this,” Knight Mendmore worried.

“We must try our best,” Lord Patchup insisted, hope in his voice.

They attempted to piece Humpty together. “Does this go here?” Knight Mendmore pondered, holding a piece of shell.

Despite their valiant efforts, Lord Patchup concluded, “Our best wasn’t enough. He’s still broken.”

King Gourmet arrived, asking about dinner. The servant replied, “Tonight, we have scrambled eggs,” a bittersweet end to Humpty’s tale.
