Once upon a sunny day, three best friends, Tom, Sally, and Timmy, decided to go on an adventure. They found a small boat by the river and thought, “What could be more fun than rowing down the stream?”
So, they all jumped into the boat, each taking up an oar, and began to sing, “Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.”
As they rowed, Sally marveled at the peace and beauty around them, while Timmy spotted a fish swimming by. They leaned over to watch it, giggling and forgetting to row for a moment. But soon, the current of the river started to carry them a little too fast for comfort.
“Uh oh, we’re moving too fast!” Tom exclaimed, a bit worried. “We need to start rowing again.”
Sally and Timmy grabbed their oars more firmly this time, and they all started rowing in rhythm with their song.
Suddenly, Tom pointed ahead. “Look, there’s a waterfall!” he shouted. The thought of tumbling over sent a thrill of fear through them. “We have to row fast to avoid it!” Sally cried out.
“I’ll row as fast as I can!” Timmy declared, determination in his voice.
They rowed with all their might, singing louder, “Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream, quickly, quickly, quickly, quickly, before we reach the dream.”
With teamwork and a bit of laughter, they managed to steer the boat away from the waterfall, safely reaching the calmer waters at the end of the river. They were tired but overjoyed at their accomplishment.
“We made it!” Tom sighed, relief washing over him.
“That was so much fun!” Sally exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Can we do it again?” Timmy asked, already missing the thrill.
They laughed together, stepping out of the boat, and promised they would go on another adventure soon. For now, they were happy to have shared this exciting journey down the stream, proving that life, with its ups and downs, is indeed like a dream when you have friends by your side.
