The Story of the Five Little Ducks

Written by:

Once upon a time, next to a shiny pond surrounded by big green hills, there was a Mother Duck and her five baby ducks. They loved to play in the water, splashing and quacking happily.

One sunny day, Mother Duck said, “Let’s go on an adventure beyond our pond. But make sure to stick together.”

The baby ducks were very excited and followed their mom over the hills, quacking all the way.

As they explored, sometimes they wandered a bit too far from each other. Mother Duck kept calling them back with her “Quack, quack, quack,” but each time, one less duck would return.

First, four came back, then three, then two, and finally, only one. Mother Duck was worried because the world was so big for her little ducks.

When only one baby duck was left, Mother Duck gave him a big hug. It was very quiet without the others. “I hope they come back soon,” she thought.

Luckily, by the time the sky turned orange and pink, all the missing ducks started to return. They had gone exploring but made their way back safely.

Mother Duck was so happy to see them all safe. She hugged them tight, feeling joyful and relieved.

The Farmer, who looked after the land, came by and saw all the ducks together. “I’m glad to see everyone is safe,” he said. “But be careful exploring those hills.”

Mother Duck promised to watch her ducklings more closely from now on. Together, they all went back to their pond, happy to be home and together again.

This story of the five little ducks is a tale about adventure, the joy of coming home, and how much a mother loves her children, all shared by those living near the lovely pond and the big green hills.
