The Story of the Five Little Monkeys

Written by:

In a cozy jungle treehouse, Mother Monkey and her five little monkeys were getting ready for bedtime. The little monkeys, full of energy, decided to play a bit before sleep. They started jumping on the bed, giggling and bouncing high.

“Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,” sang Mother Monkey with a smile. But suddenly, thump! One little monkey jumped too high and fell off.

“Ouch!” cried the little monkey, rubbing his head. Mother Monkey quickly checked on him and said, “It’s time to call the doctor.”

She picked up her phone and dialed. The doctor, a wise old owl, answered, “Hello?”

Mother Monkey explained, “One of my little monkeys fell off the bed and bumped his head!”

The doctor hooted, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed! They need to be safe.”

Mother Monkey told her little monkeys what the doctor said. But as bedtime stories go, the little monkeys forgot quickly and started jumping again. One by one, each monkey ended up bumping their head and hearing the same advice from the doctor.

Finally, only one little monkey was left. He thought about jumping but remembered his siblings’ bumps. Just as he was about to bounce, he stopped. “Maybe I should listen to the doctor,” he thought.

Mother Monkey hugged him and said, “That’s my smart little monkey. It’s time for all of you to go to bed.”

And so, the little monkeys all snuggled up in bed, no more jumping for the night. They learned that it’s important to listen to Mommy and the doctor to stay safe and sound.

As Mother Monkey tucked them in, she whispered, “Goodnight, my little monkeys. Sweet dreams.” The treehouse was quiet, and the little monkeys drifted off to sleep, dreaming of their next adventure, with all the jumping saved for the morning.
