In a land filled with whispering winds and towering mountains, three little trees stood tall, each dreaming of what they would become. The first tree longed to hold treasure, the second wished to sail the mighty oceans, and the third hoped to reach the heavens, making people think of God.
As years rolled by, the trees grew tall and strong, until one day, woodcutters arrived. The first tree was cut down, dreaming of becoming a treasure chest filled with jewels. Yet, fate took a turn, and it was crafted into a simple feedbox for animals, far from the treasure chest it had hoped to be.
The second tree, cut down by another woodcutter, dreamed of becoming a powerful sailing ship. Instead, it was turned into a small fishing boat, confined to a lake rather than exploring the vast oceans.
The third tree, wishing to remain on the mountain to point people towards God, was also cut down and turned into long timber beams, a far cry from its dream.
However, destiny had a greater plan for each of them. The first tree, now a feedbox, cradled the newborn Jesus, holding the greatest treasure of all. The second tree, now a humble fishing boat, carried Jesus across a lake, calming a fierce storm with just his word, realizing it was in the presence of the King of Heaven and Earth.
The third tree’s beams were used to make the cross on which Jesus was crucified, feeling sorrowful at first but then understanding that it became a symbol of God’s love for all, especially remembered every Easter.
This tale teaches us that even when our dreams don’t unfold as we hope, there may be a grander plan at play, shaping our destinies in ways we could never imagine, bringing us closer to the essence of divine love and purpose.
