In a bustling farmyard, lived the Little Red Hen, a diligent and hardworking hen who found herself a grain of wheat one sunny day. Eager to plant it, she asked her friends – the dogs, ducks, geese, and cats – for help. But each group was too busy with their own activities: the dogs were burying bones, the ducks were swimming, the geese were sunbathing, and the cats were licking their paws. Without a word of complaint, the Little Red Hen decided to plant the wheat all by herself.
As days passed, the wheat grew tall and ripe. Again, the Little Red Hen asked her friends to help her cut the wheat, but just like before, everyone was too busy. So, she harvested the wheat herself. She then took it to the miller, who ground it into flour. With flour in hand, the Little Red Hen baked a delicious loaf of bread and some cakes.
When the aroma of freshly baked bread and cakes filled the air, all her friends appeared, willing to help her eat. But the Little Red Hen, who had done all the work alone, decided to enjoy the fruits of her labor by herself. This taught her friends an important lesson about sharing the work if they wanted to share the reward.
From that day forward, the animals on the farm learned the value of helping each other, and the Little Red Hen never had to work alone again. The barnyard became a place of teamwork and sharing, where every animal played a part in their shared success. And the Little Red Hen? She was never happier, seeing her home filled with friends who understood the joy of working and celebrating together.
