The Scorpion, The Frog, and The Riverside Friends

Once upon a time, by a charming little river, lived a Scorpion, a Frog, a wise old Turtle, a fluttering Butterfly, a chirpy Bird, and the grand River itself.

One sunny day, the Scorpion saw the Frog hopping along the riverbank.

“Frog, would you be kind enough to carry me across this big river?” asked the Scorpion.

The Frog was worried. “Oh, Scorpion, I’m scared of your sting. How can I be sure you won’t hurt me?”

The Scorpion smiled sweetly. “Dear Frog, if I sting you while you’re carrying me, we would both drown. It wouldn’t make sense for me to do that, right?”

The Butterfly fluttered nearby. “That sounds like it makes sense, doesn’t it?”

The wise old Turtle shook his head slowly. “Butterfly, just because it makes sense doesn’t mean it’s right. Frog, remember, it’s in the Scorpion’s nature to sting.”

The Frog nodded. “You’re wise, Turtle. I see what you mean.”

The Bird chirped from a tree. “Remember, Frog, actions speak louder than words.”

The River rumbled gently. “Listen to your friends, Frog. Sometimes, the dangers you can’t see are the most dangerous.”

The Frog turned to the Scorpion. “I’m sorry, Scorpion, but I can’t risk my life. You’ll have to find another way to cross the river.”

The Scorpion tried to argue. “But Frog, I promise…”

“I have made my decision, Scorpion,” the Frog interrupted firmly.

And so, the Scorpion had to find another way across the river. The riverside friends stayed safe, and they learned a valuable lesson about understanding the true nature of others, not just listening to their words.

From then on, the riverside friends lived happily, always trusting their instincts and listening to each other.
